Women in our society have been inundated with negative messages about food, weight, and diet. We are also told that if we slow down, we will fall behind. This is often where the problem begins. We are constantly told that we need more willpower, more self control to get the look we want. We are taught to be in a constant battle with food, and ignore our own body’s wisdom. We are taught to keep going, no matter how close we are to falling apart.
The result? We are confused about…
- what to eat
- how to feed our families
- how to achieve and maintain a healthy weight
- how to listen to our own body’s wisdom
- and most importantly, how to have a happy relationship with food
I fell into this same trap, but I climbed my way out.
Today, I eat a healthy diet. My kids eat (a moderately) healthy diet. Fitness is important to me, but my reasons for working out today are different. Oh, and I am MUCH more forgiving of myself too!
I will help you reach your goals, not through strategies that punish you, because you have probably realized by now that those don’t work long term, but with strategies that nourish you. I will guide you through nutrition practices, stress reduction, and movement options in a way that is both practical and sustainable.
As a Certified Holistic Nutrition Coach, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and Registered Nurse (RN, BSN), I have the skills to offer a combination of practical nutrition principles, mind/body connection practices, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.
I am looking forward to meeting you,
